What is Truenor?
Truenor hands you concrete, non-obvious business opportunities — with the customer, the angle and the numbers already worked out — so you skip the blank page. The classic generator is free and needs no account; a free account adds 5 Planet reveals — 10 ideas built for real places on the interactive globe.
What’s the difference between the free ideas and the paid Deep Dive?
The free ideas are your starting point: the classic generator gives three sharp opportunities per run, and each Planet reveal gives two ideas built for a specific place. The Deep Dive turns one of them into a complete, build-ready business plan — a working Excel model with live formulas plus a multi-page PDF assessment.
Do I get anything free when I sign up?
Yes — sign up free (email or Google) and you get 5 reveals: 10 business ideas for any 5 places on the planet. Confirm your email to unlock them (Google sign-ins are verified automatically). No card needed; your free reveals stay valid for 30 days. A full Deep Dive costs 10 credits, and every Deep Dive has a free preview so you can look before you pay.
What exactly is inside a Deep Dive?
Two deliverables. (1) A live, fully editable Excel model — a 12-month revenue forecast, worst / expected / best-case scenarios, a break-even analysis, an itemised, business-specific startup-cost breakdown and a working-capital reserve, plus an industry-benchmark sheet. (2) A multi-page PDF report covering the customer, market signals, competition, pricing, a 30-day launch plan, validation steps and a clear go / no-go verdict.
Where do the local facts in Planet ideas and reports come from?
Every place gets its own local market profile — assembled from live web search, Google Places, OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, World Bank data and local news. Your two ideas are generated from that research, not from generic templates. And when you order a Deep Dive, the report is grounded in the same local research plus fresh live checks done at generation time — with every source listed inside the report, so you can verify each claim yourself.
Can I edit the Excel — change the numbers and add my own rows?
Yes — that’s the whole point, and our biggest advantage over a static export. Every figure is driven by live formulas: change any assumption (price, churn, volume, costs) or add your OWN line items, and every total, chart, scenario and break-even recalculates instantly. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. You can also tweak the assumptions right on the site and re-download an updated Excel and PDF.
How realistic are the financial numbers?
We model them conservatively, on purpose. Startup costs are itemised and specific to your idea (equipment, software, deposits, fit-out, fees, launch), we add a working-capital reserve so you’re not under-funded, and we use a realistic ramp — so you won’t see a fantasy “break-even in month 1”. The detection engine also picks the right revenue model for your business (subscription, venue/capacity, retail, marketplace, rental/hire, consulting or one-off product) so the maths fits how you’d actually earn.
Can I come back to a report later and change it?
Yes. Every report you generate is saved to your account. Open it anytime to view it, adjust the assumptions on the site, and download a fresh Excel and PDF with your changes — or share a read-only link. The files are also named after your business so they’re easy to find.
What is “Analyze my idea”?
Already have your own idea? Bring it. Describe it in a quick form and we give you TWO ready-to-run versions: your idea exactly as you described it (we stay faithful — we don’t replace it), and an optional “sharpened” version where Truenor adds one bold upgrade (a new revenue stream, channel or angle) that could lift the concept. You pick which one to run through the same Excel + PDF engine — your form isn’t cleared until you’re done.
How do credits and packages work?
Credits are the site currency. A full report — a Deep Dive of any idea, or an analysis of your own — uses 10 credits; every Planet reveal (2 ideas built for a specific place) uses 1 credit. One-time packs: Explorer 10 credits ($14.99), Builder 50 ($64.99, save 13%) or Studio 100 ($119.99, save 20%) — and your very first pack of 10 can be $9.99, once per account. Purchased credits never expire; subscription credits are valid 90 days and promo credits 30 days. Credits are spent promo → subscription → purchased, so nothing burns before it has to.
Is there one page with all the prices?
Yes — the pricing page lays everything out. The short version: 1 credit = 1 place reveal (two ideas); a full Deep Dive plan = 10 credits; ready-made catalog reports are $1.99 each; subscriptions add monthly credits, included catalog reports and a permanent discount on packs. Buying requires a free account, and payments run through Stripe.
How do the subscriptions work?
Three plans, cancel anytime: Starter $14.99/mo (10 credits + 5 catalog reports monthly, −5% on packs), Pro $34.99/mo (30 credits + 20 catalog reports, −10%, priority queue) and Founder $74.99/mo (70 credits + every new catalog report + 40 older unlocks, −15%, max priority). Yearly billing gives 2 months free. Credits land every billing cycle and stay valid 90 days — even after you cancel; reports you’ve unlocked stay in your library forever.
Can I cancel or change my subscription myself?
Yes, in a couple of clicks — no emails needed. Open Account → Manage subscription: it takes you to a secure Stripe portal where you can cancel (your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for), switch between Starter, Pro and Founder or between monthly and yearly billing, update your card and download invoices. Credits you’ve already received stay valid for their full 90 days even after cancelling, and every report you’ve unlocked stays in your library forever.
Can I see the numbers in my own currency?
Yes. Switch between USD, EUR and GBP from the selector in the top bar — every idea card, the Excel model and the PDF report convert to your chosen currency at a fixed exchange rate. Note that checkout itself is always charged in US dollars, so the price you pay is the same wherever you are.
Do I need an account?
Only for parts of it. The classic generator works without an account, and a single Deep Dive or a $1.99 catalog report can be bought as a guest. A free account is needed for Planet reveals (your first 5 are free), credit packs and subscriptions — and it keeps saved ideas, credits and past reports together across your devices.
Are the numbers guaranteed?
No — and we’d rather be honest than impressive. Every figure is a transparent, assumption-driven model you can open and change. We genuinely believe almost any idea can actually work — it comes down to your effort, your experience and a fair bit of luck. Treat the report as a sharp thinking tool, not a promise.
Do you take responsibility for my results?
We provide research, models and analysis to help you decide — we do not provide financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and we can’t be responsible for the outcome of any business decision you make. The choices, and the results, are yours.
Can I get a refund?
Because reports are generated on demand and delivered instantly, they’re a digital good. If something genuinely went wrong with your report, email us and we’ll make it right. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
What do you do with my data?
We keep it minimal: your email and the ideas, reports and credits tied to your account. We never sell your data, and your idea inputs aren’t shared publicly. You can email us anytime to have your account and data deleted. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
