This Privacy Policy explains how Truenor (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you use our website and services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service.

1. Data controller

For purposes of applicable data-protection laws, Truenor acts as the controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Truenor, we may process:

• Account information — your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account, plus your email-verification status.
• Idea-generation inputs — the interests, skills, budget, location and similar details you enter to generate opportunities.
• Purchase and credit information — your orders, credit balance and payment metadata. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Reports you generate — the business plans and the Excel and PDF files we create for you, so you can return to, edit and download them.
• Usage and device data — an anonymous device and session identifier, the pages you view, the actions you take (such as generating ideas, starting checkout or downloading a report), approximate time spent on the site, your IP address and browser type. We use this to operate, secure and improve the service, to tell real visitors from automated bots, and to understand which features are used.
• Communications — messages you send us for support.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and verify your email address.
• To generate, deliver, store and let you edit and re-download your ideas and reports.
• To process purchases, manage credits and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To send service (transactional) emails such as email verification, “report ready” notifications and order confirmations.
• To measure traffic and product usage so we can maintain and improve Truenor.
• To provide support and to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not send marketing emails.

4. Artificial-intelligence processing

To generate ideas, analyses, reports and financial models, portions of the information you submit — including prompts, idea-generation inputs, business details and related instructions — may be sent to our artificial-intelligence providers OpenAI and Anthropic for processing. These providers process the information solely for the purpose of generating the requested output.

5. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the account, ideas and reports you request); our legitimate interests (to secure the service, prevent abuse and improve the product through usage analytics); your consent where required; and compliance with legal obligations (such as keeping records of transactions).

6. Service providers we use

We share data with trusted providers only as needed to deliver the service:

• OpenAI and Anthropic — to generate ideas, reports, analyses and financial models.
• Exa and Tavily — to retrieve and analyse publicly available web information used to support report generation.
• Stripe — to process payments and payment-related events.
• Supabase — to store account information, orders, generated reports and associated files.
• Resend — to deliver transactional service emails.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

7. No sale of personal data

We do not sell, rent, trade or license personal information to third parties for monetary consideration or advertising purposes.

8. Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and your browser’s local storage for purposes that are strictly necessary to run the service and to understand how it is used. These store, for example, your anonymous device and session identifiers, your sign-in token so you stay logged in, your preferred currency, and any ideas you choose to save. We also record basic usage events to produce aggregate traffic and product analytics. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural tracking. You can clear or block this data in your browser settings, though some features may stop working.

Analytics information is used only to understand product usage, improve features, detect abuse, maintain service reliability and measure overall performance.

9. International transfers

Some of our providers operate outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, our providers rely on recognised safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

10. Business transfers

If Truenor is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable legal protections.

11. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account exists, and order records and generated files for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet accounting and legal requirements. Usage and analytics data is kept in a limited form for product and security purposes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

When you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and request a copy of the data you provided. To exercise any of these rights — including deleting your account and associated data — contact us at support@truenor.dev. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

13. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including hashing passwords and restricting access to your files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

14. AI-generated content

Truenor uses artificial-intelligence systems to generate ideas, reports, analyses and financial models. Information submitted to generate content may be processed by those systems solely to provide the requested output.

Generated outputs may contain inaccuracies, assumptions, omissions or outdated information and should be independently verified before being relied upon.

15. Children

Truenor is intended for adults and is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
